Manners Develop In Good Etiquette The main goal for members of the Good Etiquette Club was to show the correct usage of politeness in their school and com- munity. Two projects that the club promoted were holding a bake sale and constructing courtesy signs that were posted around campus. For the past seven years. Fund Raising Leads To Exciting Trips Under the supervision of Mrs. Nanette Lawrence, the Foreign Language Club was busy holding fund-raising activities in- cluding car washes, car bashes, bake sales, candy sales, doughnut drives, and an elaborate Valentine dance entitled ''Cupid's Hideaway. These activities were held to raise enough money to take a trip to St. Augustine and to New Orleans. Club Member Robbi Yeomans hosted an Open Door Exchange Student, Claudia Alejandra Arenas de Mesa from Santiago, Chile. Gina Cooksey presides over the Foreign Language Club meeting. Students Excel In Biblical Ways Youth for Truth students shared personal experiences with others and their sponsors, Mrs. Wilodene Laseter and Mrs. Annette Youmans. Reasons showing how the Bible helped with religious ideals were taught and explained. When asked how these verses related to today. Mrs. Laseter replied. 'These verses are as rewarding as they have always been. She also stated. It was a pleasure to help students follow in the right direction. With the help of club officers Linda Baker. Sheraze Johnson. Annie Doris McMillian and other members, the Thought for Today was sponsored and placed on the morning announcements. Bake sales were held during the year to help purchase a page in the Tiger '82 yearbook. Youth for Truth members and sponsors are Sharon Maples. Mrs. Annette Youmans. Linda Baker.
