FBLA Club Prepares Tomorrow's Leaders Under the leadership of their sponsor. Mrs. Lena Jones, the Future Business Leaders of America Club members studied various careers and occupations in the business world. They learned the qualifications and skills required for certain jobs and learned what salaries they could expect to earn. Members also performed community service activities including provid- ing fruit baskets to the Gadsden Nursing Home during Christ- mas holidays. Officers for the 1981-1982 school year were president. Diane Wynn; vice-president. Sheila Brown; secre- tary. Lottie Collins; treasurer. Sharon Jenkins; parliamentar- ian. Patricia Ward; and business manager. Mary Dixon. Yearbook Undergoes Stylistic Changes Selling ads. cropping pictures, drawing layouts and meeting deadlines were among the many jobs of the 1981 -82 yearbook staff. The staff consisted of 19 members: six sophomores, seven juniors, and six seniors. Editor Marzette Bulter. Assis- tant editor Wanda Green. Business Manager Theretha Fore- hand. Ads Manager Cynthia Henry. Photographers Lynn Tay- lor and Rileen Wilson lead the group. The class was under the guidance of Mrs. Cheryl Gaskin. Thomas Durham draws a layout. Kelvin Galloway, and Sharman Gleaton work to finish a deadline. Mrs. Cheryl Gaskin and Theretha Forehand go over financial reports. 95

FHA Club Studies Home Management Under the direction of sponsors Mrs. Harriett F. Bryant and Mrs. Ella Reed, the Future Homemakers of America Club stud- ied various methods of performing household chores and responsibilities. Club activities included aiding a distressed family and attending district and state FHA meetings. Officers of the club, which had an enrollment of fifty-two. were presi- dent.
