They won the Division III Championship and played in the City and State Tournaments. Jose Rios, Willie Rios, Andre Diaz and Dan Beal were picked for the District All-Star Team. Jose Rios led the City of Boston in scoring. It was a great year for a great team . Jose Rios 42 43 Track and Field 44 Cross Country Track saw a strong Freshman group highlighted by Pedro Perez and Misa Fosas who consistently placed in the top 10 in statewide competition. We finished third in the city Championship. Winter track successfully defended its league winning efforts of 1976 while compiling a record of 6 wins and 0 losses. In state wide competition we had 7 finalists. I, Nilda Borgos, leave my Latin American History Book for next year ' s students. 54 Senior Life at J.P. 1977 55 THE SPRING FASHION SHOW The fashion show was presented by the students of lamaica Plain High School in Cooperation with the Educational Division of Simplicity Pattern Co. Inc. Twenty girls modeled the spring fashions designed by Simplicity and the program was helped by Mrs. Mor- chella and a group of Senior Citizens. One senior citizen played the piano, one modeled, and fifty others were in the audience.
