60-gvkforo NATALIE TRAIN RICHARD STERN Dear Classmates: Our four years together have been all too short. It seems only yesterday that we walked the hill to Jamaica High School for the first time. But now we are parting-diplomas in our hands, friendships in our hearts, greater understanding in our thoughts. It is with these possessions that we anxiously face the future. As a Final remembrance of our high school days we present to you, the senior class, this Yearbook. Our hope is that in years to come it will provide many fond memories of Jamaica. With deep appreciation we thank Dr. Steinlein, our faculty advisor, for his patient guid- ance and the entire Yearbook staff for a job well done. To all our fellow-graduates'-the best of luck, a successful future, and a life filled with happiness. Sincerely, NATALIE TRAIN RICHARD STERN Mociafe gcbford HEI.EN WEXLER JERROLD HIRSCHEN Eight

Just carry these qualities with you whether to a higher education, or out into the business world and you will again attain your goal. My best wishes for your success and happiness. Congratulations to you, your parents and the faculty, on the successful completion of one phase of your educational develop- ment For long and sometimes difficult years your parents have looked forward to this graduation as an event which should mark the end of childhood and the beginning of young women- A long and active life lies ahead of you. Make the most of It has been most pleasant working with this class for the past two years and I wish to each member a full and happy life. llL5l7l2f Dear Seniors: In the class of June '53 I found the problems so prevalent in planning for large numbers. Is the place large enough? Will we reach all the seniors? These questions arose repeat- edly in planning your activities. To relieve these handicaps your fine spirit of enthusiasm and cooperation was always pres- ent to make success in your undertakings a positive conclusion. It has been a pleasure working with you. May each gradu- ate have such future success and happiness as you with for yourselves. Sincerely, MORRIS PERMAN Dear Seniors: At last the day for which we have planned, term after term, is here. Commencement Day! For some, at times, the goal seemed so distant-almost beyond grasp, but your realization of all that graduation means has given you the will in spite of difficulties along the way. As you enter new fields of study or seek employment, take with you the spirit of cooperation and good sportsmanship you have learned here. Take your place in the world, and make it the world you want. Very sincerely yours, MILDRED L. JOSEPH Sincerely, MILDRED F. KARTEN Sincerely, WILLIAM C. HOLLIS Seven
