EDITORS RUTH SAUER ARTHUR SCHULER FOREWORD Unmistakably, in the past seven years, the Year Book has been something to which we looked for' ward to. It holds something in itfsome undefinable something which creates a feeling of unlimited joy. It is undoubtedly one of the things that, at some future date, will make one recall the sentimental activities in our High School. Many classes have already gone forth, and with them the Year Book and its treasure: 'There' fore, keep in mind as we release this book, that it has been published with the idea of serving as a mirror in our coming years-a mirror in which to look and to recall to mind all the friendships iormed at jamaica. In this, the record of our days here, we have tried to present those aspects of our High School, most typical of the tempo of our time, in the hope that many years from now this book will furnish happy rememf brances bo bind us closer to our Alma Mater. If you really enjoy this book, attribute its success chiefly to the fact that we have had Mr. Harold A. Brown for a Senior Class Adviser. It was through his relentless work and untiring efforts, aided by the members of the staff that this book achieved the respected reputation it now holds in comparison with all previous efforts. Therefore, dear graduates, as we enter a new era of life, let it be not only this book and the contents therein, the teachers and advisers, the Principal and Deans, but most of all let it be Jamaica High, which should serve as an inspiration to us-forever. 0 nine
