The International House Program accepts for membership foreign as well as native born American students. A limited number of American students from all university curricula are accepted each year. Normally there are about fifteen students from foreign countries accepted each year. An interest in international affairs, a desire for increased language knowledge and capability, and a willingness to contribute to the members of the program are required to live in the International House which has facilities for twenty women and twenty men. The program places emphasis on a. language instruction and proficiency b. cultural understanding among various peoples of the world. c. coordination of the activities of foreign students into the total life of the university and experimentation in the teaching of languages.
