The responsibility of providing bussos or seeing that they were provided for trips to football games became one of their tasks. President Chastain has greatly encouraged students to attend mootings and discuss problems relating to student activities. A contest was held, and prizes were awarded to the students who wrote the best papers on how the Student Government Association might be improved. Tho New Year was ushered in at J. S. T. C. by a Masquerade Ball and midnlghr movie sponsored by S. G. A. — oil for free. The new French students had arrived from Paris during summer vacation, and plans had been made to open Maison Francaise (French House . Several new members were initiated into the organization and at once became a part of this parlez-vous francais? group. La Moison Francaise became the center of activity for all the students in this special program. Answers to questions in class (only French is spoken) are a source of amusement for our French teachers, for who knows just what one might accidentally say when he is learning to speak French? Meals are served in vraiment French style by Mademoiselle Renohy. At the sound of a tobfe everyone has a brainstorm trying to recall at least sufficient words to ask for something to eat.
