THE GOVERNOR An ardent supporter of education and youth is Governor James 0. Folsom, Alabama's youngest Chief Executive. His untiring efforts to roise the educational standards of our state is evidence of his campaign pledge to give Alobomo a sound and progressive administration. The faculty and students of J. S. T, C. were honored recently by the Governor's visit to the campus. DR. AUSTIN R. MEADOWS Dr. Austin R. Meadows, a groduote of Jacksonville State Teochers College, was recently elected to serve Alobomo as the Stole Superintendent of Education. Dr. Meadows hos served in various capacities in several of the school systems of the stote, and since 1929 he hos been a member of the State Deportment of Education. Many of the leading educators of the stote hove complimented highly the work already accomplished by him in the educational field.

THE DEAN Claude Rudolphus Wood serves Jacksonville Slate Teachers College in a commendable manner as dean and as a professor of mathematics. As dean. Dr. Wood finds many responsibilities resting upon his shoulders. He discharges these duties in a very capoble and efficient manner. His pleasing personality and business-like manner are respected and well-liked by everyone who has had contact with him. Dean Wood is largely responsible for the high academic standing which the college maintains at the present time.
