Sherrie Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell J. Mitchell is this year’s recipient of the Good Citizenship Award Medal at JHS. The award is presented by the Illinois Society of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Sherrie has participated in National Honor Society, Speech and Drama, Latin Club, Crimson Frolics, Speech Contest, Jazz Band, and Music Contests while at JHS. Outside of school Sherrie participated in Summer Theatre, directed a Children's Theatre play and was nominated Miss Morgan County Queen. Sherrie will attend Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois in the fall and major in Musical Theatre. Each year the DAR award and the SAR award are presented to a senior girl and to a senior boy who demonstrates the qualities of dependability, cooperation, patriotism, and leadership. S.A.R Steve Scobbie, son of Dr. and Mrs. Therron R. Scobbie is this year’s recipient of the Good Citizenship Award Medal at JHS. The award is presented by the Illinois Society of the Sons of the American-Revolution. Steve has participated in Basketball, Football, Track, Student Government, and Key Club while at JHS. This year Steve was Captain of the Varsity Basketbll team and Snow King of the Christmas Dance. Adventures 18
