And then of course Physical Education displays everyone’s great physical ability to break arms, legs, fingers, and necks. What about typing and all the other business courses. Everyone learned how they were all thumbs when it came to typing. And what about that “Tempelman Shorthand” and all the squiggles? And good old History! Wasn't learning about the Civil War thrilling? And what about all those dates to learn that you always forgot the day after the test? Art was always a blast. It was a lot of fun throwing paint and clay, and tangling oneself up in yarn while in Crafts class. Many people found skills in themselves that they never knew that they had. Many of the guys developed new skills or improved old skills in drafting, woodshop, welding, etc. There were more girls in vocational classes this year then before.
