“school, n. public facility for boring young people to sleep, so they can gain w hat rest they lost over the busy weekend. Cliff Garner, sophomore What can you say about an 81 year old school that died? That it was fun and full of snowstorms and sunshine? Or that you'll miss it when you're gone? Or that you'll be glad to be gone? Just what CAN you say about an 81 year old school that died the year you graduated? A Senior School is a place that gives you homework so you have to stay up until 6:00, then get up at 7:00 to go to school. Kurt Heller, sophomore School is a grandiose menagerie of irrelevant trivialities a preoccupation with two-times-lwo-and-how-does-rhyme-scheme-relate-lo-my-life subjects. That is what school means to me. Gail Bradney. junior “School: the seniors take with them nothing and the sophomores don't know anything, so it just stays the same. A Senior School is 84 F classrooms in the dead of w inter, deadlines to meet, an outdated grading system, soybean burgers, a lax-watch committee who'd rather save money than see high quality education in their public schools, teachers who are taster acting than Sominex. billows of cigarette smoke flowing from open restroom doors, crazy students playing ‘monkey see. monkey do' in the halls, and friends getting together trying to figure it all out.
