President Shirley Pilkington Vice-President Lois Meyer Student Council From the time the school doors open on Freshman Day until they close on Gradua- tion Day the Student Council is in action. The main purpose of the Council is to pro- mote a better understanding between ad- ministration, faculty, and students. Student Council, as the student government body of J.II.S.f is composed of representatives from each home room. The Council sponsors all the sch x)l dances, homecoming festivities, the annual Christmas dance, and the school pic- nic as a climax to the school vear. The Stu dent Council also sponsors more serious things, such as a collection of food for the Christmas baskets, the schools March of Dimes campaign, and the publication of the handbook. The Student Council of J.H.S., we can honestly say, plays an important part in our schcx)l program.
