DR. R. O STOOPS L The Jacksonville High School is dedicated to the youth of this community. Here a steadfast puhlic provides adequate equip- ment and excellent instruction to create the proper environment for mental and social growth. And it is all as free to our youth as the air they hreathe. l.et us here, as students, lay the foundation of sound scholar- ship and worthy character, with a firm conviction that, in this man- ner, we can create wealth which 'Old Man Depression cannot deplete. In no other way can we show ourselves so appreciative and So worthy ot' the sacrifices of time and money which a gen- erous community has invested in this school. Student citizenship of this type creates a school spirit which hest serves the present, and to which we can look hack, in the future, with genuine pride. R. O. STOOPS
