Senior As we end our twelve-year-journey through R.H.S., we look back and see we have had many hardships as well as pleasures. In August, 1941, thirty-seven little tots were willing and eager to come to school, but when they did they walked into the first grade room with astonished looks on their faces. Miss Glenna Kemp was our guiding light. Our enrollment was, Howard Baker, Mark Bear, Katheryn Beltz, Janet Bigelow, Marsha Burdoine, Calven Depew, Jackie Ferrell, Dale Allen Fitch, Charles Fosnaugh, Joan Click, Margaret Herring, Marie Hine, Loretta Hoffman, Max Houser, Shirley Hyser. Cloria Landstoffer, Cerald Markley, Marlene McFarren. Rosalie Orr, Jack Patten, Sandra Patten, Lloyd Paul, Wayne Pratt, Lawrence Reed, Louise Scott, David Sherbahn, Carol Shideler, Wanda Shideler, Vonda Smith, Mona Lue Tribolet, Max Wohlford. Harold Beltz. Henry Ade, Carl Ness, Jeanette Hine, Rosmary Jordan. John oder. Those leaving us this year were, Janet Bigelow, Jackie Ferrell, Dale Fitch, Gerald Markley, Louise Scott, Harold Beltz and Henry Ade. We were promoted to the second grade. This year Miss Fairy Ramey was our teacher: of course we thought we knew everything, but soon found out differently. During our grade time we soon learned how to add and subtract with more than two numbers. Miss Ramey had a few added pupils this year, Monet Coble. Barbara Jean Keffer, Bobby Joe Mickley, Manuel Torres. Despite the fact that we were getting the teacher down, she hated to see us go on to the third. Jacqualine Parkhurst left us this year. We were glad to be promoted to the third grade, and see our new teacher, Mrs. Virgil Williams and new classmates, Donovan Conrad, Gene McDaniels, Eldon McKinzie, Sue Stockman, Jeanette Morgan. Ramon Gonzalas and Gerald Markley. Our first greatest accomplishment was learning how to write instead of print. Our second was our multiplication tables. We were sorry to see Charles Fosnaugh, Katheryn Beltz, Jeanette Hine, Marie Hine, Barbara Keffer, Manuel Torres leave us. Miss Colclessor was our fourth grade teacher, and she had the privilege of teaching us how to write with ink; what a time! We were learning more of our multiplication tables also. Shirley Gundy and George Hill came to our class this year. This year being our fifth, we thought we were growing up. Mrs. Walters was our teacher. We opened our door to Marcia Cole, Carl Clark. Virginia Godfrey, Thomas Murray. Douglas Johnston, Richard Johnson, Delores Pottor, Jerald Van Meter 26
