I'm Larry Hannal' Imagine our surprise! We spoke briefly with him but would not linger as the over powering odor of his limburger cheese became too much for us Marilyn suggested we fly back to civilization as we hopped aboard a T G A plane and headed for New York Upon landing, every body started suggesting how we should spend our short visit Calvin go see a basketball game as he is such an enthusiast when it comes to playing that sport We agreed and luckily tickets were available for a game played by the world renowned Harlan Globe Tooters In the midst of the game, a voice came over the loud speaker in troducing the star player Trumpets blared and an enormous spotlight shone from above Judy screamed, 'Why it's Clarence,' and fainted dead away Later she explained how she had always had a secret in fatuation for Clarence and after hunting for him In vain all these years, his sudden appearance was too much for her After the game was over we went back to his dressing room to see him, but alas, he already had a wife Oh well, better luck next time Judy May had been inquiring around and found out about a special sale on atomic broom sticks She persuaded us to each buy one and we took off It was great fun until Mary piped up and said 'How do we steer these things?' Alas, too late we remembered to find out the secret word that would enable us to guide our broomsticks We were begin ning to get resigned to the idea of spending eternity strattling broomsticks, when Bernadine, from mere coincidence, happened to say, 'iggle oggle,' and soon we felt ourselves descending downward and landed kerboom Donations MARTIN BINDERS Valparaiso, SIEVER'S DRUG STORE, Valparaiso N O e e wanted to tour the Modern Art Musewm, but Roger Berkoski insisted we As we were recovering from our sudden landing, we heard in the distance the sound of errie flutes playing a mystic melody Ruth gasped and ju ped back as she pointed a trembling finger, and lo and behold there in front of us was a deadly cobra swaying to the music We did a double take, then quickly turned to go when a familiar voice speaking arabian bid us come back KFortunately Wally had just com pleted a correspondence course in Arabic I Linda crept up to him and lifted his long flowing white whiskers and cried, nIt's Santa Claus, no, it's Jo Jo After exchanging greetings with all his former schoolmates Joe explained how he had left the Navy to become a Shiek as there seemed much more future in it Joe insisted we stay for a drink of cactus juice to refresh us, he clapped his hands twice and out of the tent slinked a sexy brunette singing, Ali, Ali, Ali Jo Jo . She lifted her veil to speak when Calvin yelped, It's Joannie' W all jumped to our feet to greet her and invited both Joe and Joan to come to the states and visit us, as we were already far behind schedule hurriedly mounted our elephant steeds and sped across the desert As China was not too far out of the way we decided to stop for lunch On the mahmstreet of Hong King we spotted a likely restaurant A sign in big bold letters read 'Mrs Glancy's Chicken Dinner and in small print chop suey, chicken ala Kong, chow mein, chong fu young, aurant. There standing before us was the former Carol Krause She was clothed in long, shapeless garments, a coolie hat and had a long hbnd pig tail flowing down her back Were we surprised! Carol told us all about how Tom had been transferred to the Chinese branch of Mrs Johnson's Chicken Dinner and how she had obediently followedtum. Soon, she had graduated to head waitress and now she was manager She said her biggest dream was now fulfilled We left Carol to her happiness and headed back towards old J H S We soon landed in the states and headed for Porter County We had had a pleasant journey filled with the excitement of meeting all our old friends, all that is except Clyde, and we had given up hoping to find him We filed up to study hall to take our seats when who should meet us at the door but old Clyde Simms himself He was Jackson's new principal and said it had always been his secret ambition to be principal and how he was! He could not linger long as he had to bawl out some school boys who had been hot rodding around the school yard. We bade him good bye and with a regretful sigh we left ourwbar old J H S to return home to our new lives and families. DR HETMAN Westville and RAY'S TOT AND TEEN SHOP Ch6St0rt0no . e .
