SOPHOMORE ACTIVITIES The Sophomore class received their class sweaters September 8, 1954. On October 15, 1954, the Sophomores held their first semester class party, at the Circle Theater in Indianapolis. Laurel Jones took them in his bus. They held a paper drive October 22, 1954. December 18, 1954. Jane Dem- aree invited the class to her home for a Christmas party. They ordered their class rings from the Hertf-Jones Company January 10, 1955. Bill Canada invited the class to his house for a square dance March 26, 1955. The class had a paper drive on the first three Saturdays in April. They took a trip to Turkey Run at the end of school. The rung of a ladder was never meant to rest upon, but only to hold a man's foot long enough to enable him to put the other somewhat higher. -John Viscount Morley. 19
