Seniors: Nearly a thousand years ago a man in Persia wrote, The moving finger writes and, having writ, moves on- in describing our inexorable march into history. Each year at graduation time we are struck again by our ability to share common thoughts with a man dead for forty generations. True, it certainly is, that this class will leave and many others will come to take its place. Yet each class and each individual leaves a mark on the school and every person in it. ln concluding his thoughts on this matter, Omar Khayyam said, Nor all thy Piety not wit Shall lure it back to cancel halt a line. Nor all thy tears wash out a word of it. The best of luck to the class of 1961. May the writer of history be kind to you. -Victor C.
