Qur Board of Education LEFT TO RIGHT: Mrs. Alice Kettler, Clerk, William Holman, Royal Harrison, Pres., Forrest Jones, Vice Pres., Edward Kisabeth, Carl Snyder. No place in all the world is education so free and so generously offered to so many as in the United States of America. This did not just happen, but was the result of a long iight to gain free education. First came the free elementary school, then the free grammar school, followed by the high school, and this followed by the free state universities. There had to be many champions of the cause of education. That work is now being carried on in large measure by our Boards of Education. If you wish to find a community in which education is on the march, you search for a community where good men will serve on the Board of Education, men who have the good of all the community at heart. In rendering decisions, the good board member considers all angles-the pupil, the parent, the teacher, the janitor, the bus driver, the administration, the taxpayer, and when the evidence is all considered, he makes his decision in the light of what is best for all. We at J ackson-Liberty are fortunate in that we have good men who are willing to be the guardians of our school. Mr. Jones has served us well for many years. Mr. Harrison is in his second term. Mr. Kisabeth, Mr. Snyder, and Mr. Holman are serving their first term. Mr. Harrison, Mr. Snyder, and Mr. Kisabeth are graduates of Jackson-Liberty. Board members, we appreciate your good work and wish you much happiness in carrying on your important task.
