SUPERINTENDENT Harold R. Wherry To the people who make education possible- parents, children, and teachers--America thanks you. Education is the cornerstone of our exis- tence. Our entire lifedepends upon things we are taught and the concepts that are learned. Through the classroom democracy lies. May it ever wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave. 0Ed cM'° Commencement Night 19 5 9 Dear Mom and Dad, This annual is in appreciation of all the little things you have done for us--the things for which we never thanked you. Of course, we were grateful, but we were always in such a hurry to get to the ball game or the movies that we didn't take time to say thanks. Now we have reached the point where we can look back on these things. Many of us will be off to college, many will be working, and we all will be getting married sooner or later. At any rate, we are adults, and we can no longer expect you to do all those little things for us, such as ironing a shirt or blouse for our Big Date” with Susie or Jim. Therefore, although it isn't nearly enough, we say Thanks, Mom and Dad, and to you we dedicate this book. Lovingly, Your Sons and Daughters The Senior Class of 1959
