Class Prophecy - (continued) Since the family's expenses are increasing so rapidly, the former Marlene Swallow is helping to make the living for her little angels (so Marlene says) by giving music lessons. (Marlene drives around in her Buick these days while Jim sports a beautiful Chevy1.) During his tireless search for his one and only, Herman Washington has become known as one of the greatest lovers since Rudolph Valentino. (And just to think he never had a date during high school1. Ahem1. Ahem1.) After breaking all scholastic records at Miami, Jeanette Weiss decided it was time to do something worthwhile. Now Dick and she are putting their talent together and raising brainy little tigers for Ansonia's future basketball and football teams. Instead of The Egg And f it is The Pig And f for Sally Wisner. For the little farm near Fort Recovery is getting quite overrun with HAMPSHIRE Pigs. Sally says there is never a dull moment! Joyce Wright has finished beauty school and is now literally making Dayton the city beautiful' from her excellent work with cosmetics. Yesterday we read in the Dayton Daily News that Joyce has taken out a patent on her latest hair-do! 18

Class Prophecy - (continued) Addah Mae McClain became so interested in cheese from her work at the dairy store, that she went to Switzerland. And of all things, she met a watchmaker there and they now have a cozy home in the Alps'. We haven't heard from Bob Miller in quite a while since his invention of a new type of rocket ship has boomed to popularity. The last we did find out was that he was on his way to the moon. No doubt he took Marlene along. (Nice and private up there you know'.) You never would have guessed that bashful, slow-talking Francis Patterson has become a high powered auctioneer. Peggy takes care of the financial side of the business and she takes care of Francis, too1. Gerald Price has finally established a bus route between Rose Hill and North Manchester. Although we know his wife has her college education, there are other little items around the house that need some schooling. Years ago Gloria Riffle led the cheering section at basketball games, but now she is being cheered as one of the highest scoring forwards on girls' professional basketball teams. It looks as if her physical education classes at Jackson were not in vain. Since Miss Habekost found her dream man, Elsie Rhoades has been running things at Jackson in the music department. She also is interested in Jackson, Indiana. As you know. Jack Cummings is now their coach'. Phyllis Royer has really been places. We hear now that she is doing missionary work in South America and as a sideline she has written many interesting articles and stories about her experiences. Helen Rose has gained new responsibilities since she has now been pro- moted to the position of the boss's wife instead of merely being his secretary. Looks as if when Helen applied for her job, she got more than she bargained for. Nice work, don't you agree? My, but Duane Shomber lives a dangerous life since he is driving for the Yellow Cab Company of Chicago1. We just hope he never gets involved with any gangsters'. Eleanor Stocksdale now sings on the Telephone Houi1' with none other than Gordan McRae'. Of course, we all realize that her training at Jackson was the most important stepping stone in her singing career'. 17

Senior Class History Delores Armstrong--June 20, 1933 Came to Jackson in March of seventh grade from Lewisburg. She has been one of the meanest girls at Jackson, even if the teachers haven't caught her yet1. She also likes the armed services, we hear. Joe Barnum—September 1, 1932 Started to school here at Jackson in the first grade, but left us to go to the Washington Township School. He couldn't resist coming back, however, although we know he also likes Union City very well. Phillip Detamore—July 25, 1933 Came to Jackson in the first grade and has been going here ever since. He is a strong backer of the Junior Class. Barbara Edwards--February 3, 1934 Entered the halls of Jackson in her Freshman year from Washington Township- It is rumored that she likes the Army, and black Plymouths, very much'. Gertrude Howell--September 30, 1932 Entered the halls of Jackson in her Freshman year from Beaver Pond. Green- ville is her favorite town'. Verda Mae Hurley--September 6, 1933 A shy, but intelligent little girl entered school for the first time at Jackson in 1939. She has always had a bright future ahead of her'. Marilyn Jones--March 2 0, 193 3 Came to Jackson in the fourth grade from Mt. Sion. She seems to get along with the teachers very well. She flashes her left hand around these days'. Richard Jordan--January 9, 1933 Started his education here at Jackson in the first grade and for some reason, has been at it ever since. He is well known for his farming ability. Addah Mae McClain--September 7, 1933 Entered Jackson in the first grade and left in the fifth grade; but seeing that Jackson was a better school, she decided to come back in the sixth grade. So we have her with us yet'. And we're glad. Robert Miller--November 30, 1933 Came to Jackson in the sixth grade and has been going here ever since. He seems to keep a pretty close watch on the Junior Class. 19
