Sr. Student Council Organizes Suggestion Box ROW 1--Betty Johnson, Mary Don Miller, Sue Southard, Connie Conner, Mr. Lorberg. ROW 2--Joe Dunn, Sam Beggs, Jerry Lacy, Ronnie Henderson, John Godwin, Tony Kim, Mr. Lamont. The new members of the council and the officers were installed in an assembly held in the gym. The new suggestion box was placed in study hall, and each week a new con- test was held. Different topics were chosen each week by the council. Acting on the principle that self-govemment is the best government, the Senior Student Council, representing the student body is chosen by democratic method to act in their behalf. 20

and Jr. Student Council Sells Book Covers The junior high, not wanting to feel slighted also accepted the responsibility of se1f-govern- ment and elected a capable Junior Student Council. The members organize money making projects and sponsor dances. As their money making Project this year, the council sold book covers and note books. They were the traditional school colors, and even had a Jackson Indian on the back. Webster Davault, president of this year's council, is presented with gavel.
