The first football game of the season, Jackson whipped Valle High, 7-6. The first University of Kansas assemblyg Roger Ritenbaugh, Juggler, Acro- bat, Ventriloquist, and Bell Ringer, We were defeated by Chaffee, in a heartbreaker, 13-l2.. Jackson defeated the Charleston Bluejays in an exciting game, 9-6, Another he artbreaker, the Poplar Bluff mules defeated us, Z7-12. Harold Kiehne made a talk and urged everybody to sell magazines. School was dismissed for teachers meeting. We defeated Central, 13-0. After having been rained out the week before, the Band Festival was pre- sented here. Although the night was quite warm, we froze out Kennett, Z6-0. Four students accompanied Mr. Nelson to Jefferson City for a State D.O. Meeting. Jackson downed Caruthe rsville, 13-6. Six student council members went to Sikeston for the Southeast Missouri Student Council Conference. Sikeston defeated Jackson, 13-7. The Jackson Band put on a fine exhibition before a large audience at a Col- lege game at Cape Girardeau. The Student Council members were installed in their offices this morning in an assembly. The Sophomores presented the first play of the season, We Shook the Fam- ily Tree. Jackson once again came out on the winning side, this time they defeated Dexter, Zl-13. Some of the debate squad attended a debate tournament at Columbia.
