Sf' Jackson students work diligently to improve the community, at the same time enjoying the fruit of community-provided recreation. When school has ended for the year, Jackson students flock to the Lake Cable Beach Dances to see their friends. The Fireman's Festival and Stark County Fair always provide a chance to win a girl a stuffed animal or ride the ferris wheel. A game of golf on the Green links of the local country club or a rousing game of tennis is enjoyed by many of the students throughout the summer. The spirit of entering the community is evident in the qualities of our students. The imagination essential to community life may be expressed in simple waysg a decorated locker, school spirit displayed at football games, the gay laughter of an enthusiastic cheerleader, improve not only the community, hut also the school itself. q'Pleasur

'iliieal Joy Comes Not From Ease Or Riehe Growing up tends to make us more aware of the world and its problems. We soon realize that there are many problems in the world greater than our own. Jacksonites strive in many ways to help solve them. Our students devote much of their time to jobs in the community. They create an image of Jackson in their individual jobs, group efforts, and religious convictions. We enjoy a Friday night football game, then Saturdaymorning we have the same enthusiasm cleaning up the field. The voice and spirit of ,lack- son are echoed throughout the community as we try to help old folks and those who are under- privileged. Jackson's students give added life and vigor to our community as they devote their efforts to the creation of a better world.
