Co-Dedication MR. CECIL RAMGA We would also like to dedicate the 1963 Scoop to our advisor, Mr. Cecil Ramga. He has executed two main services in the past twenty-five years. He has been the advisor of the yearbook staff and he has taught various classes. This year we, the annual staff, dedicate the 1963 Scoop to Mr. Preston Lawrence. He has served Jackson faithfully in vari- ous capacities since 1931. He is currently in his twenty-eighth year as high school principal. MR. PRESTON LAWRENCE

Important Product The band now has close to one hundred members as compared to sixty in 1940. Like many other things, the band, cheerleaders, and the foot- ball team have changed during the past twenty-five years. The band now develops a theme and formations during half-time shows. To many of us, boy cheer- leaders are a thing of the past. The football teams have in- creased in size and in the num- ber of victories. In 1939 the team compiled a perfect record of no victories. This year's record was much better—8 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie. One thing hasn't changed. Cheerleaders still lead our teams on to victory. 7
