down 4 ll f 8 5 X X R ffejqi Sfacul y The first line of the Jackson High School fight song, Sail Vikings, Down the Field, represents the goal of all the students: to sail down the field of high school to the finish line- graduation. But the sailing is not always easy. A student may encoun- ter the opposing team of setbacks and delays. At such a time, when ac- cess to the finish line is blocked, the opposing team seems to be win- ning. The goal of graduation may look far away. But to the rescue comes the fac- ulty. Mr. W. Earl Holman, principal, Mr. Royal Dressel, assistant princi- pal, the counselors, and the teachers are there to coach, to give assistance, and to put the student back' on his way to graduation. With the guid- ance and support of the faculty, the students are able to conquer the chal- lenge of the first line of our iight song.
