of the Student Kodq, guided As president for the first semester, Bill Millerlile did much to help the school year begin smoothly, and to welcome the new students. His vitality and enthusiasm in organizing the Booster parade helped to make it the biggest ever. This enthusiasm has been an aid to Bill in carrying out his duties and responsibilities as the leader of the student body. Bill's warm, friendly personality makes him an excellent representative of Jackson High School at league conferences and inter-school meetings. His efliciency as a committee chairman has en- abled the Student Council, the All Sports committee, and the Constitution Revision committee to make great progress. His interest in the students has helped them to feel a part of Jackson High School.

MII and Ea:-6ara, capable officem 1 I As Vice President for the first semester, Barbara Smith was given the highest honor which the student body can give to a girl at Jackson High school. She has graciously fulfilled her duties as Jackson High's oflicial hostess. She has aided Bill and done her best to make his job as president easier. She has planned the dances and all-school parties with great success. Yet no matter how busy she may be, Barbara,s exuberant charm convinces others that she finds her job enjoyable and rewarding. Student fem and Home room X Student Council From our Student Representative Assembly, two members of the Sophomore class, two members of the Junior class, and one member of the Senior class are elected to serve on the Student Council for one semester. Policies are formulated and decisions concerning the school activities are made by our Student Council. This year, a reporter from the Citizen Patriot has been attending the meetings and reporting interesting happenings to the people of Jackson. The Student Council always does a wonderful job, for which we say thank you. However, the real thanks is deserved by the students of the school who elect these responsible leaders to represent them in student government.
