Student Government has organized and developed the Hostess Committee, a group of about forty girls from all the grades, who may be called l'AiC'1 at any time to usher, serve dinners, set up for dinners, help with .7 HOSTESS COMMITTEE, JUNIORS: FIRST ROV! The Hostesses have worked out so very well here at Jackson High that the idea has been copied by Ann Arbor and other high schools. SPORTS COMMITTEE FIRST ROIV I. to R: D. Clay, E. Shahan, J. The newly-formed Sports Committee is made up of the nine captains of the nine sports, the President of G.A.A., and the two captains of the cheerleading squad. The 24 purpose of the organization is to promote good sportsmanship in the spectators as well as in the athletes. Such things as a seating chart for the winter-sports assembly, transportation to away games, and arrang- ing trophy cases come under the jurisdiction of the Sports Committee, which is advised by Mr. Kiesel.
