.eamaf Early in his high school career, Ed Johnson distinguished himself with a remarkably pleasing voice and unusually poised stage presence. These qualities helped him a great deal in his debate work and enabled him to turn in an excellent performance as M.C. of the Viking show. Before Ed became President, he was active in Student Repre- sentative Assembly as Treasurer and in Student Council as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. The high honor of President in Ed Johnson. A and integrity, Ed's soon be forgotten. of the Student Body was well placed person of high qualities of leadership contributions to Jackson High will not Wan' In December, Jackson High School gained a capable Vice President when Phyllis Farris was elected in one of the most exciting elections in years. During her high school years, Phyllis has won the admiration and respect of the entire Student Body, by her active participation in Student Government, both in Student Representative Assembly and Student Coucil. As early as the tenth grade, Phyllis was elected to Hostess Committee, and before becoming Vice President, she served as Secretary of the Committee. These are only a few of the long list of activities Phyllis can claim. Truly, Phyllis Farris has not only maintained, but has uplifted the high standards past Vice Presidents have set, and future Vice Presidents will attain.
