T1-IE GRIDIRQN SEES Coach Walterhouse used chieflv the two platoon system throughout the 1952 season. Standouts on the offensive team were Bob Mitchell, Don Muir. Bill Waller, Ierrv and lack Townley, and Bob Plaskett. lerrv Hark- ness, Bob Ford, Bob Kinle, Iack Sackreiter. Burt Iackson, and Ierrv Breese were some of the reasons that the defensive team clicked, Although the boys turned in but one victorv, all their losses were not onesided, The South Side of Fort Wayne game was exciting to the very end and the hard fought Lansing Eastern game ended in a tie. The rivalry with Ann Arbor was also a Well contested game, but Ann Arbor's allsstate team just out-powered Iackson's. However. true to tra- dition, the Iackson and Ann Arbor teams, cheerleaders, parents, and faculties were honored at a banquet following the game as another football season came to an end.
