'With Barbara Hoch as captain, the varsity squad works smoothly as a team and do much to promote high spirits throughout the entire student body. This year new sweaters and culottes added to the attractive appearance of the girls and we should all be proud of the fine job they do in representing lackson High School. The reserve cheerleaders are a peppy group of girls who cheer for the reserve football and bas- ketball games. Under the direction ot Miss Dun- lap, these girls put in many hours practicing for the coming games and DGP YHGGUHQS- Although at the beginning of many of the games there are few spectators, the reserves are always on hand to give the reserve teams a good send oft and to extend a Welcome to the visiting teams. Hampton, M. Abbey, C. French, N. Barden M. Pickles. TENNIS With a perfect serve and a quick return a game is underway in the tennis tournament ot the G.A.A. girls. Both twosomes and foursomes played in this tourna- ment. For those who did not wish to participate in this there were set aside two courts in which they could either play a game or just bolley. Whether you were a champ or a beginner there is a place for you in G.A.A. I-IGCKEY The whistle blows, the count is given as through the sand screen you can make out the flashing hockey sticks and the small puck, which is heading toward the goal tor a point. Two teams headed by Pat McClelland and Angeline Val- dez battled each other to a Victory won by Pat's team. This sport is exciting as well as fun to play.
