We have every reason to be proud of them and of the four new records which they established. The entire team worked hard and really deserved their trophies both for winning the Five A swimming meet at Al- bion and capturing second place at the State Meet in East Lansing. lim Thurlow, a senior, was an outstanding performer and Don Nich- ols and Roger Harmon, Sophomores, show v,x -,,nrl ,ffl-P' 7il,f'i2T great promise for the coming season. MAT MEN Roger Wilson and Kenyon Wood demonstrate a fundamental wrestling hold. Although the wrestling team, coached by Mr. Bender, didn't have one of its best sea- sons, the wrestlers and their loyal fans had lots of spirit and we are sure they will have a winning team next year. Ken Sayles, Iohn Washburn, and Ed Thompson were the most impressive wrestlers on the squad. The team beat Battle Creek twice and forced Ann Ar- bor to go all out to Win. Iackson made a comeback and won fourth place in the state meet at East Lansing, which enabled them to finish the season in fine style.
