REFLECTOR YEARBOOK Jackson High School Jackson, Michigan Volume Sixty-three June, 1949 The Tower of Jackson High I glance up at the tower, The tower of Jackson High, Its spires in grandeur reaching Like arms up toward the sky. I pause in admiration, How could one pass it by And not behold its beauty? The Tower of Jackson High. Soon school life will be over, And some day it will be, No matter where we journey, In mem-ry we will see The dear old Jackson High School, XVith ev'ry shrub and flower, The lovely grounds and building, But foremost is the tower. It stands so proud and stately, Silhouetted against the sky, That it could bear no other name Than our own Jackson High. -Virginia Sales, LIE. N recognition of the friendly helpfulness she extends to all students, and of the guidance she offers to all who feel the need of counsel- ing, we, in behalf of the student body and faculty of Jackson High School, dedicate this sixty-third edition of the Reflector Annual to Miss Harriet Pitts. x. Who hands out grades, Both good and bad, Which make us happy Or make us sad? Those teachers! Who frowns at us When in class we play, But when we're good Looks the other way? Those teachers! Who makes us throw Our gum away, Or save it 'til The end of day? Those teachers! Who tries to help us All day long? Who tries to keep us From doing wrong. Who tries to keep Our pathway clear?
