The Varsity and J V squads worked long, arduous hours on the practice field and opened up the 1986 football season with the anticipation of victory in their hearts. They were fired up and ready but almost every game-night brought the agony of defeat. The players felt it, their coaches felt it (Varsity -r-Dennis Hutchison; J V — Dennis Reinhart and Greg Potter), and their fans felt it. The Ironmen were in the spotlight, though, when they were victorious over Marieta on Homecoming (6-0). The 1966 season focused on winning — not winning points, but on winning a good measure of self-esteem for their winning'9 effort.
