Students Act Up Seniors Rhonda Chisholm and Cindy Wissman discuss money-making project with class advisor Mr. Handlsy. Senior Craig Ragland shows off his newly-won stuffed animal at the Senior Booth while Jim Wilburn and Daren Thomas look on. r It's A Tradition! it was late Saturday night, September 13. Those who were still out had smiles on their faces and sparkles in their eyes. Workmen were taking over the uptown area but, after all, it was for a good cause. The Jackson County Apple Festival was on its way and everyone awaited it eagerly. Dreams of homemade apple pie, candy apples, greasy french fries, and corn dogs lingered in the minds of the students. Those daydreams turned to reality on Wednesday Apple Magic was chosen as the theme for the 46th Festival. Sr. Christina Hill was crowned Queen, while Sr. Mary Hess served as a Princess. A variety of entertainment was presented and included performances by Phil Dirt and the Dozers, Opus 16, JHS percussion section, JHS Jazz Band, and the Dynamic Mentions Drum Corps. The traditional chaerleadlng competition and the 2nd annual Men's Legs contest were also events that attracted large followings. Among the many booths on the midway, the Senior Booth always seemed to have its share of students crowded around.
