First Day Aug. 28, 1984 It wasn’t just any hot, hazy, summer day. The J.H.S. parking lot and school grounds were rapidly filling with people. Some had never been there, others were old hands at this. Suddenly, buses pulled up adding more people to the clamoring crowd. Some were searching for old friends, others were telling about their vacation. As the crowd continued to swell, a bell rang and the group began to crowd into the building. No doubt about it, August 28th was the beginning of a new dimension — the first day of school. Pg. 4:1.
