Throughout the summer and “course of the season, the team worked diligently. By doing so, they sharpened their skills, showed extensive improvement, and were on their way to a good season. Young Spikers Show Promise The 7th grade volleyball team coached by Mrs. Karla Morrow had a great season. The team members worked hard in practice and played very aggressively against their opponents. Our JHS 8th grade Volleyball team had a super season with only two league losses. For Miss Kathy Daniels, her first year of coaching at JHS was quite an experience. The players show promise for future athletic competition. 3. Tara Doughty returns the volley. 4. Enthusiasm Runs Strong The 1984 Cross Country Team ended their season in a very respectable fashion due to the fact that they were a young team. Coach Jeff Hodson was pleased with the 25 members' performances and enthusiasm throghout the season. The Harriers finished 5th in the league, hampered by little experience. Sophomore Tommy Griffiths received M.V.P. and the junior foreign exchange student, Thorston Wiefel received the M.I.P. trophy. Pg. 26: 2. As the gun sounds, the team bursts in to action. 3.
