Healthy, Wealthy Dumb The Healthy, Wealthy and Dumb” by James Reach was selected as the fall play this year for J.H.S. The ten character play was presented on November 16 and 17 under the direction of Kent Washam, and was a huge success. The play appealed to every age bracket, young and old. Carl Eisanaugle portrayed the lead as Neil Whitmore, a college professor who’s a bit eccentric, but had a likeable personality. Roberta Phillips, who was also a college professor, but with no sense of humor was portrayed by Bonita Elkins. The play featured other strange and odd characters, among them — Brian Wallace as Dudley Kent, Jim Brown as Sam Anderson, Bryan Wood as Gramps, Angie Fouty as Jane Jackson, Valeria Watts as Kathy Ford, Brenda Pauley as Ronica Bragg, Greg Swann as Tony Lewis and Nancy Douthett as Susan Drake. The student directors were Janet Adams and Robert Naugle. Top left: Kathy Ford tries to console Neil as Sam Anderson looks on. Top right: Tony Lewis tries to get a grip on the situation as Kathy.
