Aftergame Dance: Basketball Throughout the 79-80 Basketball season various organizations sponsored after-the-game dances for grades 7-12. D.J.’s provided the music for the dances which lasted until 11 P.M. Top left: Missy Grimes dances with upperclassman Allen Collins as she turns her attention to the camera. Top right: Lisa Forshey and Jim Brown enjoy a slow dance together Middle: This section of the dance floor was totally Junior High. Bot tom left: Shelley Mullens and John Clay draw closer as the music slows down. Bottom right: Some students just enjoy the time to associate.

Middle left: Enjoying the evening together are Chuck Reisinger and Tresa Kingrey Middle right: Juniors Beth Carlisle and Tim Muffley are having a very good time. The 1980 Sweetheart Dance was held February 9th in the J.H.S. auditorium, with the theme of P.S. I LOVE YOU. The dance was sponsored by the F.H.A. The auditorium was decorated in Red and Pink, with gigantic valenties all over the walls. A giant heart flashed to the disco beat. Jack-O-Shea D.J.’d the dance. The turnout this year was above average and a better turnout is expected next year. The Sweetheart Court consisted of Queen Sharon Dearing, Freshman attendant Robin Meyers, Sophomore attendant Kim Leach, Junior attendant Daphne Underwood, and Senior attendant Sharon Ragland.
