At Easter time they sold a variety of chocolate Easter-eggs and at Christmas they sold holly. This was to raise money for the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet which were held on April 21 this year. All of this took time and planning but it was worth it. This was only one of the many experiences which helped to prepare this year's Juniors to be the leaders of J.H.S. in '73. Scholarship, service, leadership, and character are the focal points of the N.H.S. These are truly the prize students of J.H.S. The advisor was Mrs. Mary Jo Waters who is a very active teacher at J.H.S. The club's activities were many this year. The most popular activity this year was the annual October Chili Supper sponsored to raise money for the support of their adopted South American orphan, Daniel Notera. 112 The Spanish Honor Society is one of the newer organizations at J.H.S. The Society is open to any Spanish student having completed three semesters of Spanish and maintained a “B or better average all three semesters. This accomplishment is indeed something of which these students can be proud. For those who are potentially interested in becoming a teacher, this is a very good experience. The major objective of the F.T.A. is to secure an adequate and continuing supply of teachers for Ohio's schools.
