Honor Society The National Honor Society was formed to Honor those who have excelled in four major areas: character; scholarship, leadership, and service. To be qualified for membership in the National Honor Society, the student must be a Junior or Senior who ranks in the upper third of his class. The members are elected by the faculty. The National Honor Society has two Induction Ceremonies. One in the fall, which takes in Seniors, and one in the spring, which takes in Juniors. To be a member of the National Honor Society is a great honor and a goal every student should try to reach. 25

Rick Billman, Anthony Coyan 8th Row David Roe, Charles Chapman, Kim Rose To develop attitudes of, and practices in good citizenship of students, is one aim of the Student Council. The Council strives to improve student-teacher relationships, improve students' morale in school, and promote the general welfare of the school. This organization helps not only in the school, but also in the community. The members perform a Christmas play at Hope Haven School, and also take Thanksgiving baskets to underprivileged families. At school, the Council is active in Homecoming festivities, various dances, school clean up campaigns, and fund raising projects. Any member of a class is qualified to be a candidate for representative. Elections are held and five members from each class (freshman through seniors) are elected to represent that class on the Council.
