JOHN FINCH SUPERINTENDENT OF ja cfiSffirrrrft schools SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS L. to R.: Beverly Spangenburger, Secretary; Jeff Elliott, Vice-president; Marlene Mapes, Treasurer; Jim Adair, President. The graduating class of 1964 has been exceptionally gifted in every field of endeavor. They have been outstanding in the phases of Scholarship, Athletics, Music, Agriculture, Art, and Drama. The leadership ability illustrated by its officers has been admirable. There are two records written for these scholars who have toiled for four years. One is an uninteresting list of facts and figures destined for the use of a filing cabinet. The other is a day by day tracing of experience that has left its mark on the personality of Jackson High School--this is the one that will last. They have contributed their share to a school they will find hard to forget. We salute . . . Each step has opened new doors to what lies ahead for us. This year our class has taken high honors scholastically, participated in activities, and had representatives among the royalty. We hope that when we reach the top of the ladder and become the Seniors of J.H.S. that we will be able to carry on the high standards of the classes that have gone before us. We thank the Class of '64 for their leadership and wish them the best of luck in the future. 69 Becky Abrams John Albert Rose Aldridge Shirley Anderson Nancy Ashton Robert Auxier Barbara Bach Paul Barlow June Barnhart Paulette Barnhart 70 Roger Balton Judy Bentley Paul Berridge Steve Bates Mary Boylan Carolyn Boyd Larry Alflen Donna Boyd 71 Robert Bragg Marilyn Brown Lary Buchanan Carlyn Bullion Rita Bumoski Donna Cantrell Barbra Yates Tim Carlisle Henry Click Larry Cobum Agatha Coffey Karen Channell 72 Brenda Coleman Greg Coll Ray Comer Sandy Covin Gary Crabtree Janet Crabtree Shirley Crace Danny Crothers Jan Crothers Jerome Damron Arnold Dawson Mike Davis 73 Pat Davis Rosalyn Davis Tom DeHart Julia DeMent Karen Denny Charles Detty Rose Dillinger Betty Downey Wanda Duianey Barry Eisnaugle Carolyn Elam Ann Ervin 74 Judy Eubanks Bob Exline Paul Fannin Orval Fee Cathy Evans Loretta Evans Margaret Fehrman John Finch Debbie Foster Terry Foster Rick Franz Linda Fry 75 Joyce Gibson Kay Gilliland Bob Gillespie Carol Garrett Floyd Gillum Gail Goodspeed Greg Gosling Sharon Gould 76 Elizabeth Hall Peggy Hankey Patti Graham Tony Harrison Violet Heath Tom Henson John Hickman Patsy Hill Duke Hilt Kenneth Hines Barry Houser Bob Huchison 77 Beverly Hunter Agnes Ice Marvin Jenkins Shirley Jenkins Bob Johnson Diana Johnson Gloria Johnson Larry Johnson Ricky Johnson Carol Jones Margann Kearns Judy Keaton 78 Dave Lackey Gerald Lambert Marvin Lambert John Lanmng Julina Lambert Beverley Landrum Tom Lavery Becky Leach 79 Mike Leach Chloe LeMaster Pamela LeMaster Jim Leonard Ruth Massie Arthur Mapes Homer Martin Carol May 80 Jerry May Nancy McCormick Karen McGhee Martha McGrath Mary McGrath Sue McKenzie Lynda McKinniss Leonard McPeak Margaret McWhorter Mary Menshouse Joyce Mercer Kay Mercer 81 Carter Michael David Michael Larry Michael Barry Miller ■ Greg Miller Kathryn Miller Bonnie Moore Gregory Moore Tom Mossbarger Betty Myers Elaine Newman Dave Ondera 82 Pat Osborne Vickie Papp Steve Patton Jon Perry John Peters Carolyn Phillips Nancy Pohl Raymon Potter Darrell Radcliff Linda Ray Linda Richards Lester Riley 83 David Robbins Dale Rose Floyd Rose Mary Rosenberger Nancy Reed David Rowland Bruce Salyers David Scarberry Pauline Scott Karen Scurlock David Sech Barbara Sellers 84 Tom Sexton Deanna Shaffer Donald Sharp Ronnie Sharp Sheila Shumaker Janet Simpson Sara Smally Judy Sherman Betty Smith Beverly Smith James Smith Jim Smith 85 Pat Smith Mike Spriggs Steve Steele Sharon Stepp Geneva St evens Bob Stewart Jayne Sticklen Bill Strawser Kendra Swanson Jerry Tabor Judy Tabor Jack T ay lor 86 Bob Thompson Mary T ay lor Jerry Tennant Jim Thomas Tom Walker Paul Walke Rodney Walker Vida Tudor Tony Wallace Howard White Russell White Carl Williams 87 Nina Williams Ronnie Williams Carole Wilson Steve Wolf Bryant Wolford Pat Woodruff Deanna Wood Mike Wood Janet Woods Carol Woolum John Woollet Gordon Woos ley Larry Wright Dave Yerian Carol Jones Don Mourning INACTION! This year we were able to take part in more activities, including the Cadet Band, the 8th grade football team, and the 8th grade basketball team. Even though we have enjoyed this year, we're looking forward to next year when we'll become a part of the real high school. Left to Right: Pres. Allen Rowland; V. Pres. Rudy Wallace; Sec. The play was about an old folks home which was sponsored by a church. The home was managed by Rev. Watson and Miss Tripp. O. T. Erwenter came to the home and after he had been there for awhile, he had the residents of the home believing that they could be young again by drinking an elixir. After these old ones had drunk of the elixir and had become alive and vital, they decided to redecorate their home. To obtain the money for redecorating, they had a bazaar. Erwenter got into trouble by stealing things for the bazaar from other places in the town. When the owners of these establishments saw how content these people were with these items, they decided just to let them keep them. This got Erwenter out of trouble and everyone lived happily ever after. Later in April, The Silver Whistle was presented at the State Drama Contest after winning the District Contest, and it was ranked one of the top five in the state. 151 STUDENT COUNCILS Left to Right: Jim Adair, Sec.j Loretta Evans, Vice Pres.; Yvonne Davis, Pres.; Mr. Coy an, Advisor; Sara Smally, Treas.
