THE TRAIN OF EDUCATION Every man should have a quest for victory over something; a goal to reach; or a thrill after an accomplishment. During high school he undergoes many victories and defeats in both classroom and the athletic field. The defeats taste bitter and are long remembered. Victory is sweet. It always leaves a lingering taste in your mouth for which every man yearns. Victory! Victory is wonderful feeling. Almost the same sort of feeling that you get when you have done something good for someone. A feeling that cannot be put into words. A feeling that is worth working for. A feeling that we had when we finished this yearbook. We hope you will enjoy this yearbook of pictures of yourself and your friends. Our theme is The Train of Education . A train that runs on a track that is represented by the faculty, as a strong foundation that keeps the heavy train on the right path to learning. The Seniors are the locomotive that keep the train moving while the Juniors, as the coal car, refuels the locomotive. The Sophomores, with their crane, are ready to give the Seniors and Juniors a lift when there is any trouble. It is followed by the Freshmen, as the caboose, with their red lantern to warn of any danger, and to give signals to the locomotive. Close on the heels of The Train of Education comes the Junior High represented by a handcar quickly catching up to the main train. Someday the handcar will take the upper classmen's place. And thus, The Train of Education rolls down the endless track into the future. 5
