The high honor of being chosen as the outstanding school citizens of J.H.S. for this year is bestowed upon Judy Miller and John Callahan. They were chosen after a vote of the complete student body. A school citizen is found doing these acts: Conscientiously prepares assignments, obeys rules and regulations, participates in activities, respects his teachers, is courteous to all, is loyal to school and country, is prompt, dependable and honest. We are proud to have Judy ami John in our senior class of 52 and offer our heartiest congratulations, and wish them the best of luck in the future. 17

Throughout all of the Senior year, we have experienced a feel ing of sadness and joy. It seems that with each activity, there has come a time when we have said with a touch of sorrow: This is the last one of which we will be a part. There was the last football game for the senior boys which was also the last one for the senior band members. Then at Christmas time, we sang in our final Carol Sing and so on into spring when came the Glee Club Concert and also the band concert, and with them the realization of the finality of our high school career. There were the never-to-be-forgotten parties, both formal and informal, which filled many happy hours and provided us with many memories. But. we realize that our happy, joyful moments have outnumbered the sad ones and the happy ones will remain with us always. The memory of the friends which we made during our school days will be forever cherished. As there must be an end to all good things, so it is with our high school days. But we as seniors are happy to have been a part of the Jackson High School and we know that we have gained much, and we trust that we have left an influence which may shine forth as a light to those who will follow in our steps.
