The high honor of being chosen as the outstanding school citizens of J.H.S. for this year is bestowed upon Judy Miller and John Callahan. They were chosen after a vote of the complete student body. A school citizen is found doing these acts: Conscientiously prepares assignments, obeys rules and regulations, participates in activities, respects his teachers, is courteous to all, is loyal to school and country, is prompt, dependable and honest. We are proud to have Judy ami John in our senior class of 52 and offer our heartiest congratulations, and wish them the best of luck in the future. 17

Tfatianal 'ZtoHa'i Society The National Honor Society was first instituted in Jackson High School in 1948. The standards are scholarship, leadership, character and service. The seniors are chosen by a faculty committee. They must be in the upper one-third of their class. It is the desire of every student to obtain a membership in the National Honor Society.
