The Student Council was organized in the hope that it would help better the welfare of the school. This way the students would have equal represen- tation in the governing of their school. Each room selected a student with the qualifi- cations they thought best needed, to represent them in this student organization. These members heard the general problems of the students, encour- aged Clean sportsmanship, and helped promote scholarship. This student governing body is under the guid- ancc of Melbra Thornton whose job is to see that the decisions of the Student Council are carried out efficiently. Scholarship, leadership, character and service-these are the standards of the National Honor Society. The students, who are chosen by the faculty, must be in the up- per one-third of the senior class. They must also have the previous stated qualifications.
