This, indeed, could be the slogan of the Osky Wow Staff this year. Proverbs must be found to fit each organization. Then the write-ups must be built around the proverb. The art staff must tax all their ingenuity in order to make lay-outs that are both balanced and original. The advertising staff spends a great deal of their time outside school soliciting ads. Yet the Staff never seems to lose patience and their energy, yet their will power seems to be great and untiring. These students have worked very hard to make this publication a success and it seems certain that everyone seeing it will agree. ol Ink :aww-2 --nn- W BLOSS MILLER BENTON LAMBERT JOHNSON 4 . That could very well be the slogan of the National Honor Society. These students have truly made their miss- ion or high school career, a success. They have excelled in scholar- ship, leadership, character, and serviceg and were chosen by a fc- ulty committe as the 15 per cent of the senior class, who also rank in the upper one-third, to represent the class of 1949 in this nation- wide honor group. The purpose of this group is to promote scholarship, character and leadership among the students. Their advice to the under-class- men would be Employ thy time well so that in the future you, too, may have a chance to be selected for this distinction. 1 4 NATI DNAL M m f e. Young and old alike enjoy the band and it is the main attraction during football season. This year the band played for all the out-of-town games as well as the home games. During the half-time period, the band always has an excellent performance to give. Every day the sixth period, the band would practice. also many evenings you could hear snappy march songs coming from the direction of the football field and you would know the band was practicing for an- other Friday's performance. Aside from playing for football games. the band took part in many other activities. They played for basketball games, pep rallies. parades. all through the Apple Festival sessions. and many other events. 60 gmac!
