Board of Education Mr Clyde Mayhew Mr Preston Turner Dr W B Taylor Mr Wllbur Patten Ml' Frank 0031108 The close contact with the Jackson Board of Education with the school authorities nas enabled a smoother running and more harmonious schedule than ever before The Board has been most co operative with our superintendent and principal in bettering our school in every way The members of the Board are all well acquainted with many of the students They can easily understand the problems of the students that develop each year Thanks to these men who give their time and energy towards making our school a better place for the students OFFICE SECRET ARIES Two familiar people around our high school are Anna Nail, secretary to Mr. Daugherty, and Carol Johnson, secretary to Mr. Thornton. We can never realize how much work these girls have to do. Writing absence slips, typing, filing, answering many questions making out schedules and answering many questions from inquisitive students-these are but- a few of the tasks they do daily. These girls not only work during the school term but in the summer as well. We can't imagine how they get all this work done so efficiently but their work speaks for itself. In our school, this government takes form in the Student Council. This organization, composed ct' one representative from each home room, has done an excellent job this year in bringing about different reforms, and also an increase in the students' inter- est in the school. This organization, under the supervision of Mel- bra Thornton, has just completed a, successful year in the service of our school. S0 it is with pride, then, that we look to this group as able representatives of Jackson High School.
