WILLIAM KEAIRNS Mr. Keairns, who was born in this county received the A. B. degree at Rio Grande College and is working for the Master’s degree at Ohio University. He teaches social science and mathematics. His hobby is athletics and he is director of the Junior Athletic Club. ELIZABETH LEWIS Miss Lewis, who resides in Columbus during vacations, attended Ohio State University and Bliss College. She received the B. S. degree from Ohio University where she was an honor student. She is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi. She teaches shorthand and typewriting and is faculty adviser of the Junior class and the C. M. C. Club. MILDRED LEWIS Miss Lewis, a native of Jackson, obtained the B. S. degree from Ohio State University. She teaches junior high history and advises the History Club. CATHERINE R. MARTIN Miss Martin, a native Jacksonian, received the Ph. B. at Ohio University and has done graduate work at Columbia University. She teaches Latin and English and advises the Latina Sodalitas Club. MARGARET MATHENY Miss Matheny, who claims Haydenville as her home, received the A. B. degree at Ohio University and has done graduate work at Ohio State University. She is a member of the Alpha Gramma Delta Social Sorority. Miss Matheny teaches English and public speaking and advises the Scenix Club. She also directed the Junior and Senior class plays. HERBERT NEELY Mr. Neely received the Artist diploma at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He studied one and one-half years at the New York University and one summer in Berlin. He taught for nine years in military schools. Mr. Neely is director of the school band. FRANCES RANDALL Miss Randall, who is a native of Dayton, received the B. S. degree at Ohio University. She teaches home economics. She is faculty adviser of the Junior and Senior Home Economics and Girl Reserve Clubs. ELIZABETH RIMER Miss Rimer received the B. A. degree from Ohio State University and also attended Office Training School and Ohio Northern University. She teaches Spanish and bookkeeping. She is adviser of the Skeleton Staff and Spanish Club. HELEN SCURLOCK Miss Scurlock, a graduate of Jackson High School, received the B. S. in Music Education at Ohio University. She is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota Honorary Music Sorority and the Alpha Xi Delta. She teaches English and music and sponsors the Junior Music Club. R. R. THOMAS Mr. Thomas, Jackson’s famous music supervisor, received his education at Oberlin College. He supervises all school vocal music and directs both the boy's and girl's glee clubs. MELBRA THORNTON Mr. Thornton, who came to us from Gallia County, received the B. A. degree from Rio Grande College and his M. A. degree from Ohio State University. He teaches American history and American Democracy. He is adviser of the Senior class and the Senior Politics Club. HADLEY WATTS Mr. Watts, who directs all boy’s athletics, received the B. S. degree at Ohio Northern University and has done graduate work at Ohio State University. He teaches social science and instructs all boys' physical education classes. He is adviser of the Varsity J Club.
