T. K. OWENS O. H. P. SNYDER Mr. Owens, city school superintendent, is a native of Jackson County. He is a graduate of Rio Grande College and received the M. A. decree at Ohio State University. He was principal of the Shawee, Ohio, schools before coming to Jackson, where he served for three years as principal of the hi h school before succeeding to the superintendency. Mr. Snyder, hi h school principal, attended the University of Kansas and Ohio State University. He holds the A. B. and M. Ed. decrees and is a member of the Phi Delta Kapp Fraternity. Mr. Snyder teaches Problems of Living and is interested in athletics. THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY RESTS LARGELY IN THE HANDS OF THE MEN WHO RUN OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM, BETTER KNOWN AS THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. u s A V VERNON W. BARNES Mr. Barnes, Jackson High School’s well-known English teacher, attended Ohio University, received the B. A. degree from Muskingum College, and the M. A. degree from Ohio State University. He is faculty adviser of the Creative English Club and general adviser of the Osky Wow Staff. HAROLD L. BROWN Mr. Brown, who is a native of Jackson County, received the B. S. degree in education from Ohio University. He teaches manual arts, geography, agriculture, health and elementary science, is faculty adviser of the Handicraft Club and the Eighth Grade. KATHARINE CROSSIN Miss Crossin, a native of Jackson, obtained the B. S. degree at Ohio State University. She teaches general science and instructs all girls’ physical education classes. Miss Crossin is a Girl Scout leader and adviser of the Leaders' Club. HANNAH DAVIS Miss Davis, who is a native of Jackson, has taken courses at Ohio University, Ohio State, Rio Grande and also special extension classes. She teaches geography, health and English. AVIS M. DEAN Miss Dean, who claims Fleming, Ohio, as her home, received the A. B. degree from Marietta College and the B. S. in Library Science at the School of Library Science, Western Reserve University. She is a member of the Beta Beta Beta and Philomathean Literary Society. She is librarian and teaches history and English. She sponsors the seventh grade and eighth grade Library Clubs. MILDRED FISHER Miss Fisher, a native of Jackson and an honor graduate of J. H. S., received both the A. B. and M. A. degrees from Ohio University. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa. Miss Fisher teaches English, Latin and French. She advises the French Club and the Junior Dramatic Club. ROBERTA GRIMES Miss Grimes, who is from Jackson, obtained the B. S. degree in education at Ohio University and has taken courses at the University of Chicago. She teaches the commercial courses and is adviser of the Commercial Club. Miss Grimes is also Sophomore class adviser. SADIE HARRELL Miss Harrell, a native of Jackson, attended Rio Grande College and Ohio University. She teaches junior high mathematics and is sponsor of the Sightseers Club. JOHN HUGHES Mr. Hughes, a graduate of Jackson High School, received the B. A. degree from Ohio University and is now doing work for the Master’s degree. He teaches biology and general science and is faculty adviser of the Biology Club and of the Freshman class. CLARENCE B. HUNE Mr. Hune, a native of Noble county, obtained the B. S. degree at Muskingum College and he has completed the class work for the Master's degree. He teaches general science, world history and economics. Mr. Hune advises the General Science Club and is faculty business manager on the Osky Wow Staff. RUSSELL JONES Mr. Jones, who received the B. S. degree from Ohio University, teaches manual arts and mechanical drawing. He is faculty manager of all athletics and the sponsor of the Industrial Arts Club. Mr. Jones is a native of Jackson. SANFORD KEAIRNS Mr. Keairns of Jackson county received the B. S. degree at Ohio University and is now doing graduate work there. He teaches the chemistry, physics and mathematics classes, and advises the Chemistry Club and the Hi Y. Mr. Keairns is faculty photographer of the Osky Wow Staff.
