Namelyx Adams, Lois Hamilton, Norman McClintic, Bill Anderson Vilma Jean Johnson, Rosemary Robbins, James S ott, J T Sims, Mary Jo Thurston, Mary Jane Taylor, Roy Brewer Marie Johnson, Wayne Dooper Garnet Kenady, Rhed Jr Fear Dor Klipsch, Ray Gray, Donald In the first six years tnere were many changes took place lost a number of our origlnal enrollment, but we also gained a number of new menbers, until our class was both larger and about evenly divided as to girls and boys we never took studying too serlously He glrls naturally thomght our little love affairs were much more important while the boys, ll, they were entirely overwhelmed by 'ball' But we do owe our boys much honor for their splendid ball knowledge They won for us the grade tournament during our Junior Hi years, and had their part i winning our County Tourney our Senior year So why shouldn't we glrls be proud of them? In the fall of '42 we met up with ourselves as we entered Junior Hlgh This was the climax of our lives For at this polnt we learned how little we really knew and how much we had to know to be able to master tho e terrible problems the Hi School teachers confronted us with each day But we were not bo be outdone, we buckled down to it, did some real studying at least put in hours of tlme and came out w1th flying colors Next September started the school year a green little Freshies and we mean greenl, for we were green enough to thlnk we could tell all the Hi School what to do, even the teachers But did we get set back' Some of us never have survived the shock Even Castor ruit school because he couldn't tell the teachers what he was go ng to d But after thinklng it over he decided maybe they were right after all, so he came back and tried it over and made good Finally we reached our Junlor Year A year we can never forget! It wa this year that we really had heartachas lmore kind than one mlsunderstsndings, and what we thought could be called real hardshlps We wanted to give the Senlor Class the greatest 'Senior Day' recorded 1n Jackson History We th1 k we d1d, too J We at least got them to the 'Cincy Zoo where they were made to realize all their ancestors were not de d Then, we began to look forward to our 'Senior Day On September 3, 1947 we entered on our last round up Our school days as a wnole were 'haoay mexories' However, there are three events we would llke to er se from our sheet We felt our great loss when Mr Fulton could not help us bring our flnal round up to a close, as he had done so faithfully ln almost every senior class preceding ours, then we had the misfort ne of losing two of our members in death, namely uarnet Cooper and Ray Klipsch But Mr Oliver, our class sponsor took us under hls w1ng and the nlna of us left were very thankful to h1m for his kind help, many good sugfe tions and e pecially for his patience he showed in endurlng tho e many trywng hours In the first semester of our senior year two of our senlor girls left us Mary Ellen Smith moved to North Vernon n oo p her school work there Mary Jo Sims decided school didn't g1ve her enough work to do so she signed un w1th the Joblett Sparks Porporation F rf-we :N 4 -fir xii.:- L' gh 0,5-,h ,. sf! f 'i' , up an 'ik ,- A ff lx, qv U ID L W Q if ' vii rw 5,114 'f- ' 1.1 4 ' -i'f9.'y1,I r.- -15 , F l A-iqhfq 1 x Q..
